The Sporting Life

So here's some recent-ish sketchbook stuff i've been trying to put together. (I think a couple are repeats) as well as some ZBrush and whatever else came to mind...

(made a few changes to my painting as well)

attempt no.4

Alright, so i think this is my 3rd or 4th attempt at painting something. it is extremely rough, but i've decided it's time to move on. (I think it looks slightly cooler zoomed in)

fill in the blank

I went to school today with every intention of finishing my 2D animation for Illusion of Life. However, when I was there I decided to try one of the cintiq's, which I'd seen but never touched. I ended up not finishing my animation and instead have this drawing as the night's final product. I couldn't decide what to put in the speech bubble though. Joey and I brainstormed and came up with the following: a swirly poop, a skull, a boombox and Jackie Chan eating a 6 foot party sub (just added that one). Anyways if you have any ideas I would appreciate them.

apologies for the massive image file.

keepin' it reeeel! git it?

I know it was a pretty stupid joke, but i sort of liked it. Anyways, I decided it would probably be a good idea to have a demo reel for internship applications - what follows is pretty much everything from my first semester in maya and what I've done this month. I'm sure I'll be updating it soon, but here's what I've got for now...

sketchdumped

Some recent sketches... the unfinished painting is a final for Joe Olson's Drawing for Animation class that I never completely finished. Credit goes to Kory Hubbell for helping me with some of the painting details. Word!

so... this is my final for our first semester of maya. I may try to add some stuff to it still, but here's what I've got now.
