Quick Draw Friday

I started my first week at Carbine Studios on Monday. It's an amazing place, sooo many talented artists and a lot of really cool work to do. Still learning the ropes and trying to figure out programs and everything, but things are going great.

Every Friday is Quick Draw Friday, where a subject is sent out and everyone has their lunch hour to come up with something. This was my first shot, the subject was Tim Burton, so I decided to paint Sweeney Todd.

California Love (Feat Dr. Dre)

I have officially arrived at my new home... kind of. We don't move in for a couple more weeks but I am currently living in a box filled apartment with Tyson Murphy aka. MURPH. California is a excellent place by the way, but I am missing my wife very much. Anyways! I'm trying to be productive so I made this here truck:

Missile Mouse

So Jake Parker, AKA Agent44, taught at BYU this last semester and I had the opportunity to take a couple classes from him. He told me he'd do a sketch exchange with me if I drew him Missile Mouse - so here it is. If you're looking into classes for next semester take from him! Awesome dude and hands down one of my favorite teachers. wurd!

Carbine!

A couple weeks ago I accepted an offer to be a 3D artist on the prop team at Carbine Studios and I have to say, I could not be more excited. This is a dream come true for me. Since I was young it's always been my dream to work on video games, more specifically MMOs. The people at carbine are incredibly talented and I feel extremely grateful to being a part of their team. Thanks everyone who's helped me along the way! I owe a lot of people for all the help and support - Avalanche, BYU, Polycount, family and especially my wife Jo, who can only be described as "the dopest".

See you soon California!

I've been trying to brush up on zbrush and improve my sculpting a bit. This was a quick study I did recently.
